Recruitment Update – February 2010

recruitment-folderHey guys,

I’m just gonna give a quick rundown/series of reminders since most of you sat through my long spiel during Chapter.

  1. Wear Letters on tuesday, Recruitment Shirts on wednesday, and Shirt/Tie/Pin on Thursday.
  2. Girls shirts should be in tomorrow or tuesday. Have your girl in mind so you can give it to her ASAP.
  3. Events for this week are posted on the Facebook group and are attached in the calendar on this email. If you do not have work or an outstanding prior commitment, I expect you should be at every event.
  4. Hang up the fliers I gave you. Keep them on bulletin boards either in your dorm or in the buildings you have class in. Please take them seriously. People notice, even if it doesn’t get them to the event right away. We want to make Billy and Dave’s work in planning these events really pay off the fullest.
  5. Hand out the brochures I gave you. It’s only two so you should easily be able to find two guys you can meet and hand it to by the end of the day tomorrow.
  6. If you’re in contact with a new guy, talk to him about getting his friends to join with him. It will make the experience something that the two (or three or four or five) can share together and may even be what it takes to get them over the hump.
  7. I want 10 guys pre-I’d next week (or whenever its scheduled for). We’ve got 5 max at the moment so you guys really have to dig through your phone books and Facebook lists, talk to strangers in class, and do the dirty work to save this Chapter and make things better for yourself.
  8. The Theta Wish List is attached to this email also. Take a look at it. Let me know if you have any more info on the guys that’s missing and please please please try adding names to the list and getting to know guys already on there. If you have questions about them, talk to the brother who is listed as their contact. They can give you the info you need. This is huge for us so please take the time. We’re more than halfway done with recruitment…

Overall guys, I’m happy with how we’re doing right now, but we’ve still got a lot of work to do to get to our goal of 15 guys this semester. Remember, every single one of you wanted to see 45 guys in this Chapter by the end of the year. Take the first step now and leave your impact on the Theta Class.

Make me thank you at the next Chapter meeting!

Love you guys, keep up the good work!

Joseph A. Bliss
Vice President
