PiKapp Scholars Award
For over eight decades, Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity has been recognizing student leaders for their commitment to academic excellence. The oldest and most prestigious scholarship in Pi Kappa Phi, the Pi Kapp Scholars Award is intended to recognize and reinforce the idea that to lead in one’s chapter is to first lead in the classroom.
The Pi Kapp Scholars Award is made available to deserving students by the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation. Each year, thousands of alumni and students make unrestricted gifts to Foundation in support of its mission. From those funds, and the Foundation’s existing endowment, scholarship dollars are then awarded through an application process to deserving undergraduate members of the Fraternity.

Criteria
Pi Kapp Scholar Award recipients first show a strong commitment to academic excellence. While Fraternity and campus activities certainly enhance a student’s collegiate experience, it is the work done in the classroom that sets an example for all members of the chapter.
Beyond the classroom, however, an applicant’s extra curricular activities will be considered in the award process. President John F. Kennedy was fond of saying that fifty percent of one’s education takes place outside of the classroom. It is in that spirit which an applicant’s level of involvement within his chapter and within the community will be considered.
