New Member Education Retreat 2009

As you know this upcoming weekend is the New Member Education Retreat.

For those who plan on leaving with us on Friday the plan is to meet at Berkshire DC and eat from 5 – 6:00 and head out around 6:15. If you can drive please let me know! I would really appreciate anyone who can!

For those attending on Saturday I ask that you please do two things for me. 1) Let me know if you are staying Saturday night or just for the day and 2) Please let me know what time you plan on arriving on Saturday so we know how much food to prepare for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Packing List – I know there was some issues last year so please look over this suggested packing list

  • ***sleeping bag and or blanket as well as sheets and a pillow*** It can be cold at times so please be prepared
  • clothes that you do not mind getting dirty since we will be doing projects around the facility – toiletries and shower items (towels!)
  • any sporting equipment you would like, or games etc.
  • video games or system if you have one
  • I have been told we might have pool time so bring a swimsuit if you would like to go swimming
  • dress appropriately we will be outside at night and it will get cold.
  • extra snacks – breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided but if you would like things to eat outside of those times than feel free to bring whatever you would like

Sorry if all of this sounds obvious but believe or not there were issues with some people not dressing warm enough and especially with forgetting sleeping bags or blankets last semester.

IMPORTANT – please notify me ASAP if you have any specific food allergies or special dietary needs and I will make sure you are taken care of.

Thanks guys and I look forward to an awesome weekend with the brothers and Associate Members. This is the best way to get to know the new guys and learn more about the current brothers.
