Chapter Meeting Preview – Feb 7, 2010

Last night at the Executive Council meeting, we decided that it was crucial that we have Chapter this coming Sunday for two reasons:

1. We need to Pre-Initiate, the new guys into the Fraternity. They have been bidded for a week now, and have had ample time to think about joining our Fraternity. The Pre-I ceremony is one of the biggest hooks within the Associate process, so we need to have this meeting in order to do it. Here is some things that need to be stated: For those Brothers who will no be participating in the Ceremony (i.e Lights, Archon, Warden, and Chaplain), WILL NOT HAVE TO WEAR A SUIT! Just please wear your letters to the ceremony.
2. We need to vote on the 1st Amendment that was proposed at the last Chapter meeting, because it has been 6 days since it was shown to you guys. We also need to review the revision of the 2nd Amendment and see if this better fits what the purpose of the amendment was for.

Here’s what came up as a revision.

Third-Party Vendor Policy

All third-party socials (i.e Sorority Socials, Formals, etc.) must be sanctioned by the Executive Council and approved by a 2/3 majority vote by the Brothers in attendance at an official Pi Kappa Phi meeting, in order to have alcohol at that event.

If anyone has any issues with this Revision, please bring it up before the Chapter meeting on Sunday, because we won’t have a discussion on Sunday regarding the revision, so get out any frustrations now.

Chapter will be at 1:00pm and will not last any longer than 1.5 hours. So plan for a 2:30 end time!
