The Theta Mu chapter of Pi Kappa Phi is something extraordinary. It is a place that fosters growth and becoming a better man. Our members are leaders in their fields, each making his own significant impact on the world. We encourage individuality and help every member to be a better version of himself, not a set stereotype. In a time where fraternities are under scrutiny for some chapters’ inappropriate behavior, we are trying to redefine, or rather restore, the term “fraternity.” We focus on building men who are gentlemanly, intellectual, and philanthropic. We create men of C.L.A.S.S.

The first letter in C.L.A.S.S. stands for character. We encourage our members to find their identity and develop character by providing opportunity for them to go outside of their comfort zone while having the support of one another. By encouraging this breadth, our members grow in ways that were never thought possible. Leadership, the next letter, is the focal point of everything we do. The leadership opportunities in our chapter are endless. Through planning events, various committees and chair positions, and executive board, just about every Pi Kapp takes on a leadership role at some point in his active membership.

The next letter, A, stands for attained. Our members are among the best and brightest on campus, as they are leaders in other student organizations and the classroom. We encourage each member to join clubs and activities outside of Greek Life, and be a leader on campus as well as in the fraternity. The next letter is scholarship, and this is the largest focus in our chapter. We pride ourselves on our grades, as we have the highest GPA out of all fraternities on campus. Service is the final letter, and another important aspect of our chapter. Pi Kappa Phi is the only fraternity to have its own charity organization, The Ability Experience. Whether it be a 36 hour bike-a-thon, putting on a fashion show for people with disabilities, shoveling neighborhood driveways after a storm, or building wheelchair ramps, we are always doing something to give back to both the community and charity.

“Exceptional Leaders. Uncommon Opportunities.” This is one of the core statements of the national organization, and it perfectly sums up what being a Pi Kapp is like. We strive to create an atypical college experience, that given the amazing amount of opportunities available to us, help to create the most accomplished and distinguished men.
